CALIBER STAKEHOLDER INTELLIGENCE SUMMIT 2026

Stakeholder Intelligence nell’era dell’AI

On 16 April in Milan, senior communications and reputation leaders gathered at BPER Headquarters for a 90-minute session on one of the most pressing challenges facing organisations today: managing reputation in an era where AI is reshaping how perceptions form, how narratives spread, and how trust is built or lost.

The summit brought together academic research from IULM University, platform data from Caliber’s 2026 Stakeholder Intelligence Report, and firsthand experience from communications leaders at Amplifon and Nexi — covering everything from the polycrisis environment and consumer pessimism to the familiarity gap, AI exposure data, and the Italy MIB40 Trust & Like ranking.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

01

Reputation is no longer an asset you own. It is increasingly co-created externally — shaped in real time by a fragmented ecosystem of media, social platforms, and AI systems your communications team does not control.

02

AI is already a reputation channel. 36% of Italians encounter AI-generated content about companies — surpassing traditional media reach. Critically, that content is systematically more positive than reality, creating a perception bubble that makes the eventual correction more damaging.

03

The awareness-familiarity gap is the core strategic risk. Italian FTSE MIB companies average 53% awareness but only 32% familiarity. When others know you but don’t understand you, your narrative is being written by someone else. Closing that gap delivers up to 24 additional reputation points.

04

The shift from storytelling to crisis management is structural. Communication cycles are faster, more digital, and less controllable. Companies must be built to respond in real time — not just communicate strategically over the long term.

05

Text-based content is back at the centre. LLMs draw from text, not video or imagery. The new competitive advantage in reputation management is a substantial architecture of structured, factual, text-first content — and the copywriting capability to build it.

Stakeholder Intelligence nell’era dell’AI

CALIBER STAKEHOLDER INTELLIGENCE SUMMIT 2026
