What is Employer Attractiveness Score?

Employer Attractiveness Score measures how strongly a company is considered as a potential place to work. In Caliber’s tracking, it is calculated as the share of the informed public who say they are very likely to consider the company as a workplace (top-box scores of 6–7 on a 7-point scale).

Because results reflect people who are familiar with the company, the rankings capture employer attractiveness among those who can make an informed judgement—making the benchmark more meaningful than broad awareness-based measures.

Behavior metrics showing declines: advocacy 51% (–2), purchase intent 54% (–1), recommendation 79% (–3), and employment consideration 62% (–1).

Why tracking Employer Attractiveness is a strategic advantage

Employer attractiveness is a leading signal of recruitment strength: whether people would consider applying, and how confident they feel about joining. Because perceptions are shaped by headlines, values, word-of-mouth, and corporate behaviour, tracking employer attractiveness helps leaders spot shifts early and act with evidence—not assumptions.

Spot recruitment risk early before it shows up in applications, acceptance rates, or retention.

See how reputation is affecting hiring so you know when corporate stories are helping—or hurting—talent outcomes.

Benchmark against competitors to understand where you win (or lose) in employer choice in your market.

Track what changes perceptions so you can connect shifts to real events, decisions, and messaging—not guesswork.

Align HR and Comms on one external truth about how likely people are to consider you as a place to work.

Built on continuous measurement—not one-off surveys

Caliber’s Employer Attractiveness Rankings are powered by continuous tracking, capturing public perceptions consistently across markets and audiences.

This makes the rankings stable enough for year-over-year benchmarking—and sensitive enough to reflect how events, leadership decisions, and corporate narratives influence employer perception.

The result is a practical benchmark for leaders who need to understand not only where they stand today, but how employer attractiveness evolves—and what it signals about future recruitment strength.
